Event Description:

The Central States Numismatic Society Convention is one of the leading such events in the United States. It features two separate and distinct major auctions of numismatic rarities cataloged and conducted by Heritage Auctions, of Dallas, Texas. One sale will focus on rare coins, while the other will be devoted exclusively to collectable paper money and related ephemera. In addition, there will be a 300+ booth bourse area with leading dealers from no less than 40 states, as well as educational exhibits, club meetings, programs and seminars. It also includes the prestigious Professional Numismatists Guild Day, where booth holders with membership in the leading dealer trade organization host a special bourse open by invitation only.

Professional Preview Registration:

During hours in advance of the regular public hours, two Professional Preview periods are conducted. During these hours members of the trade as well as collectors are admitted to the bourse to have an early opportunity to purchase booth holders’ latest acquisitions or otherwise be able to do business with the booth holders prior to regular admission hours.

The periods are:

  • Wednesday, April 16 10AM-5PM
  • Thursday, April 17 8AM-1PM

Wednesday, April 16 is Professional Numismatists Guild Day and is open without charge only to attendees presenting a written invitation from a PNG member. Registration is otherwise $75. The period Thursday, April 17 from 8AM-1PM is open to non-booth holders only by payment of the $75 registration fee. A single $75 fee affords admission to both of the special privilege periods.

Registration for these preview periods may be accomplished in person at the event site, or in advance by mail. Professional Preview registrants must either be CSNS members or have an application pending, which may be accomplished at the convention registration desk – located just inside the Exhibit Hall G entrance on the second level of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont on a walkup basis, or if registering in advance by mail, by submission of a membership application with their Professional Preview registration.

To register in advance by mail and avoid the possibility of on site delays in the process at the convention, attendees should contact the General Chairman.

Convention Sponsors:

At any major numismatic event, there are a number of features and activities, that although an essential part of the overall experience, by their very nature can not be self sustaining. Thanks to the generosity of a number of progressive members of the numismatic community, a number of these convention features have been made possible or enhanced by sponsorships undertaken by firms deserving of special recognition from the collecting fraternity:

Exhibit Area Sponsor:

The educational exhibit area provides a learning opportunity for our attendees, as advanced collectors share their interests with the entire numismatic community through well researched displays built around portions of their holdings. The Exhibit Area sponsor is:

Silver Towne
Leon Hendrickson – President

Winchester, IN 47394

Please revisit our website to view the contact information for additional convention sponsors as they make their commitments.

Without the generosity of our convention sponsors, a number of the enhancements that make the Central States Numismatic Society convention a special event would not be possible. Our President and Board join the entire convention staff in extending our thanks for their selfless support. If you’ll be attending the convention in person, please take a moment to visit their booths to thank them in person.
